Weekday Air Force
KELVIN C. POSTELL, the “Minister in the Morning”, serves as the Vice President of Operations for JBD Communications (WCGL).  He is a native of Jacksonville, Florida and a graduate of William M. Raines Sr. High.  He received his Computer Information degree from Jones College.  Kelvin has been in the media industry and with WCGL for more than 18 years.  He oversees the daily operations of the station and is the morning on-air personality.  Kelvin is also a licensed minister of the gospel as well as the Chief Financial Officer at his church, West Jacksonville C.O.G.I.C. where he has been a loyal member for 13 years.  He and his lovely wife Patrice are the proud parents of Kelvin II and Lady Desiree.    His motivational scripture is, “If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.” 
FREDDIE RHODES, the Power Gospel Express engineer, evening drive-time host is a native of Jacksonville.  His interest in radio began while in high school.  He would call in on-air requests and dedications to his classmates.  The host of the show, the late Ken Knight, who was one of the biggest names in gospel radio at that time, encouraged him to pursue a career in radio announcing.  This was Freddie’s first opportunity to show his God-given abilities.  At that time, he only wanted to do gospel radio, but he was young, therefore R&B 70’s style is also a part of his past experience.  God Called Brother Freddie to gospel and after a few “spankings” he came back to his first love.  He has done several stints at different radio stations within the city throughout the years.  He has been honored by various organizations.  He holds the prestigious “Ken Knight Radio/TV Award” for presenting traditional gospel music over the airwaves, the award for which he is the most proud.  Most noted is the 1993 “Gospel Announcer of the Year” award along with numerous others.  He says that he is most thrilled with his current career here at Victory AM 1360 WCGL for over 20 years where he serves as Program Director (announcer’s supervisor) and the afternoon drive on-air personality from 2:00 - 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday.  Brother Freddie has been married to Sarah for over 25 years and is the proud father of five sons.  He and his wife are the faithful members of Cathedral of Faith COGIC, where Shepherdess Carrie B. Kinsey is the pastor.
REV. BILL COLEMAN is the Bishop of the evening and can be heard every weekday from 6pm-10pm. He is a native of Jacksonville and started his career in radio in 1978 at WVOJ 970, a southern gospel station.  He later went to WERD that became WZAZ 1400.  He also worked with WSVE for a while, but says his greatest love is for WCGL 1360.  He says that WCGL is a great foundational place to work.  It allows for ministry to reach everyone through the airwaves.  He has been an emcee for many programs and for some of gospel’s best artists.  He currently has a program on WCGL called “Gospel Spotlight.”  This program is designed for local and national group interviews.  He is the proud husband of the lovely Jeanette along with his other wonderful family members.  He is also the senior pastor of the Greater Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.  Rev. Coleman is also employed by the Duval County School Board.
DAN EVANS, is “Daniel in the Gospel Den” and he can be heard every weekday evening from 10:00 pm - 2:00 am on your “Midnight Manna.”  Dan has been in the professional broadcasting industry since 1969.  He has been with WCGL since 2000.  He started his career in radio and later moved into television and print working for the National Sentinel in Los Angeles, California.  He has served as a News Director, Music Director, and News Editor.  Dan is no stranger to the community as he serves on the several local boards such as Pride in Action and Immunization Task Force.  He is an active member of Hold Out the Line and Mad Dads.  He serves as the community liaison for Sherwood Forest Front Porch.  He has been a loyal member for 17 years of the Potter’s House, with pastor Vaughn McLaughlin, where he serves in the multi-media ministry.  Dan loves to play chess and assisting the elderly and youth.  He is the proud father of 5, Letreace, Kellie, Daniel, Kandis, and Vashti.
Weekend Warriors (Saturdays)
RALPH DARNELL JENNINGS, affectionately known as “Lil’ Ralph”, is one of WCGL’s warriors of the weekend and can be heard on Saturdays  and Sundays.   Born in Fayetteville, Georgia, he moved to Atlanta at the age of 12 with his father, who first exposed him to the radio industry.  At the age of 16, Lil’ Ralph’s family moved to Jacksonville in 1991 and he began his journey in the radio ministry at WCGL.  Lil’ Ralph says that he enjoys ministering on the air and playing  gospel music that listeners enjoy.  He is the proud father of one daughter, Princess Jasmine.
 
NEKEYMA (RICO) MARTIN was born March 10, 1980 in West Palm Beach, Florida.  The Palm Beach native graduated from Suncoast Community High School with a concentration in vocational business.  Nekeyma attended Bethune Cookman College in Daytona Beach, Florida graduating with a double bachelor’s degree in music education and music technology.  He also received a minor in psychology.  While at Cookman, he served as head drum major for the Marching Wildcats Band and maintained membership in other organizations.  Nekeyma taught a year and a half in the Palm Beach County School System.  He relocated to Jacksonville in November 2005 to join his beautiful wife Zaneta and two wonderful children Aubrey and Xia.  He presently teaches elementary school in the Duval County School System.  Nekeyma joined the WCGL family June 2006 and we welcome you.  Tune in to “The Minister of Music”, Brother Rico.
 
DORIAN S. NORMAN has over twenty-five years of experience in radio broadcasting, including sales and production.  She worked for WCGL many years ago.  She also worked in the secular realm for a while, WOBS Radio and numerous other stations over the years.  She expresses that she is glad to be back with the Victory station.  She is a proud member of Dayspring Baptist Church with an on-fire 27-year-old pastor Rev. Jeffrey Rumlin.  Her hobby is caring for the elderly.  She is the proud mother of 2 sons, LaRod, age 7 and
Elijah Christian, age 19.
 
REV. MARCIUS O. KING was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida.  He attended the local schools and graduated from New Stanton Sr. High.  Rev. King attended Edward Waters College in Jacksonville, graduating with a BS degree in Elementary Education.  He furthered his education at Florida A & M University in Tallahassee, Florida, graduating with a master’s degree in Guidance and Counseling.  Rev. King serves as the pastor of the St. Matthew AME Church and is the former director of Media Ministry for the Department of Church Growth and Evangelism for the AME Church for eight years.  Rev. Marcius King is the proud father of Marcius L. King, Leontine Thompson, and Lynette Glenn.  He is also a proud grandfather, and brother to Ms. Alyce L. Lynch.  Rev. King has the longest tenure of any announcer at WCGL.  He has been in radio for over 27 years, with 26 _ of those years at WCGL.  He had a very brief tenure with WPDQ radio station in Jacksonville.   He has served as the Music Director, Public Service Director, and News Director.  Currently, Rev. Marcius King is the Sunday morning announcer from 5:30 am to 10:00 am at WCGL AM 1360, “The Station Where Christ Gets Lifted.”
SHERRIE ROBERTS, lovingly known as Jacksonville’s “Gospel Angel”, began her radio career in 1994 at the University of North Florida as the host of the First Gospel Music Program, which was featured then on Continental Cablevision Channel 4.  In a few months, she was hired to work as an official gospel radio announcer at WSVE in the evenings.  In 1997, when the radio station closed, Sherrie received a call from gospel radio announcer Brother Freddie Rhodes, and she accepted a position with WCGL as a gospel radio announcer.  She is currently WCGL’s “Gospel Angel” of the airwaves.  Sherrie also produces and records the church and community news segments.  She holds an Associate of Arts degree in Communications from Florida Community College at Jacksonville, a Bachelor of Arts degree in Organization Management from Edward Waters College, and recently completed her Master’s in Business Administration from Florida Metropolitan University.  She is the proud mother of one daughter, Amber Danelle and one granddaughter, Asjah Danelle.  Sherrie has been a member of Greater Church of God by Faith with Pastor Cedric Matthews since she was a pre-teen and credits her love of worship music and credible leadership skills to her church background.  Sherrie is aspiring to become a powerful influence in radio and media production, ownership, and economic development.
 
TYRONE STANLEY, 1360’s weekend warrior, the “Gospel Messenger” was born in Conway, South Carolina in 1954.  He has two sisters and one brother, and they all lived with their mother in a Christian home.  He is a 1972 graduate of Conway High School.  He went on to serve in the US Navy.  He later came to Jacksonville, Florida and attended Jones College, United Broadcasting College and then graduated from Massey Business College.  He has been in the broadcasting industry for over 30 years in several mediums including gospel, blues, jazz, R&B, country, Top 40, and easy listening.  He also worked in the sales and management of broadcasting while in North and South Carolina and while living on the west coast of Florida.  Tye rededicated his life to the Lord in 1990.  He has been married since 1993 to his wonderful bride and they have two sons and two daughters.  They are members of the Potter’s House of Jacksonville, Florida.  He also currently works for the US Postal Service.  When asked what his favorite pastime is, Tye responds, “I love praising the Lord and having fun playing with the grandkids.”
 
 
 
WANDA P, is one of the most recognizable voices in Jacksonville's gospel radio market!  She began her radio career at WCGL in February 1999 as a weekend announcer.  During her tenure at the station she became Marketing/Programming Assistant; where she was responsible for on-air promotions, music tracking and public affairs programming.  Also, she co-produced the stations highly visible public affairs talk show "1360 Live Talk" with host Betty Bullock. Joining the staff of Gospel 1400 WZAZ in 2003, she quickly jumped through the ranks to become the station's Assistant Program Director.   Her duties included: producing the K.D. Bowe Morning Show; and hosting "The Jacksonville View" (a weekly public affairs talk show).  In 2006, she co-created and co-hosted a once-weekly specialty program called "The Show".  Known for it's wit, 'The Show'  gained enormous popularity among Jacksonville's gospel radio listeners and garnered many fans in the national Gospel music scene such as;  comedian Akintunde, Tonex, V. Michael McKay, Vashawn Mitchell, Vickie Winans & Dwayne Woods, etc. Efforts which led to Gospel Today magazine recognizing WZAZ in their 2007 Annual Report as one of "Gospel's Top 25 Radio Stations" in the country! Wanda's current assignment came in May 2007 when her pastor, Rev. Mark L. Griffin appointed her as Public Relations Coordinator for Wayman Ministries. Not only is she responsible for PR assistance for the ministries' many outreach programs, she also produces Wayman's weekly television broadcast.  In addition, Wanda has been a driving force behind the recognition Wayman Ministries very own 2008 Stellar Award nominated, First Coast Children's Choir, has received across the country!  Now back with WCGL AM 1360, Wanda P. declares "I am happy to be back where I started!  The best is YET to come!' She can be heard weekends on WCGL AM 1360.
